  • How do I apply to the Year 10 Science Camp?

Applications will open on Friday 30th October 2026 and close on Friday 15th January 2027. To apply to the camp once applications are open, click the link and complete the form: Apply here

  • When and where is the camp held?

The Year 10 Science Camp is held at the John Innes Centre and runs annually. This year the camp will run from Monday 5th July until Friday 9th July 2027 and is open to students in Year 10.

  • Is the camp free to attend?

The camp is free to attend. It is a non-residential opportunity, so you will need to make your own transport arrangements to and from the site each day. Information on travelling to site can be found here. Travel bursaries are available for students in receipt of free school meals.

  • What should I wear?

Please make sure to wear smart casual clothes with closed toe flat shoes. As students will be working in the lab, long hair should be tied back.

  • What will I do?

Students on the camp take part in practicals, to help with understanding basic lab safety and techniques. Students will also have the chance to shadow a scientist or technician, and hear from staff and students in many different roles.
