EDI Hub+ training

Funded by the EPSRC EDI Hub+, two new comprehensive online Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training courses have been developed in collaboration with Newcastle University, the Quadram Institute, the Earlham Institute and the University of Essex.

Using stakeholder-led insight, these long-term learning courses have been created specifically for STEM environments and are designed to support all of us in building a more inclusive, respectful and supportive workplace and research culture.

They can be completed module by module, over a time frame that suits you, but are not designed to be completed in one session. They can also be completed in groups as cohort sessions over several weeks, whatever works best for you and your organisation.

Masterclass courses

  • EDI in STEM

This course introduces the foundations of equality, diversity and inclusion within STEM environments. It explores why EDI matters, how it shapes our experiences at work, and the role we can all play in creating a culture where everyone can thrive.

  • From Unintentional Exclusion to Intentional Inclusion

This course explores how everyday behaviours, practices and assumptions can unintentionally exclude others. It offers practical approaches to becoming a more active and intentional ally, and a more inclusive colleague.

If you would like to access these courses you can pay a small individual fee, or purchase an organisational licence. Just email: EDI.training@jic.ac.uk
